Hi Carême bakers,

Carême turned 20 this year, and what a journey it’s been. I’ve always joked that it’s my third child, and like any child, you spend so many years head-down raising them before you finally get a moment to step back and see who they’ve become. This year feels like one of those moments. I’m so proud of where Carême is today.

More than anything, these twenty years have reminded me why I started Carême in the first place: to help people make really good quality food, the kind that brings everyone to the table. And there’s no time of year that captures that feeling quite like the Australian summer.

When juicy peaches drip down salty chins, and long, lazy lunches roll into warm evenings with the people you love. Our Summer Tart Series is an ode to exactly that magic feeling. Simple, make-ahead tarts that let you spend less time in the kitchen and more time in those moments.
