Ingredients
- 375g pack Carême All Butter Puff Pastry, defrosted
- ¼ cup Biscoff spread (smooth or crunchy)
- Plain flour, for dusting
- Icing sugar, for dusting
Method
- Preheat oven to 200°C fan-forced (220°C conventional). Lightly dust your work surface and the pastry with flour. Fold the sheet of pastry in half lengthways to mark the centre, unfold, and cut along the crease.
- Spread the Biscoff spread evenly over one half of the pastry. Place the other half on top to sandwich the filling, then gently roll with a rolling pin to seal and smooth the layers.
- Cut the pastry into 2 cm-wide strips (you should get 6–8). Starting from the bottom, thread each strip onto a metal or wooden skewer in a zigzag pattern to form the shape of a Christmas tree. Use any leftover pastry to cut out small stars and place one on top of each tree.
- Place the skewered trees on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden and puffed. Remove from oven, allow to cool slightly, and dust generously with icing sugar.
